Madame Jeanne LeGrand is the owner of the brothel in Edinburgh where Jamie Fraser keeps a private room. She and Jamie were business partners in the 1760s.

Jamie meets with Jeanne while he, Claire and Ian are in Edinburgh on their way to Lallybroch. He learns that Jeanne knows Percival Beauchamp, who smuggles things from France for Jeanne.

- Jeanne is the Modern French form of Jehanne, an Old French feminine form of Iohannes ('John),[3] an English form of Iohannes, the Latin form of the Greek name Ιωαννης (Ioannes), itself derived from the Hebrew name יוֹחָנָן (Yochanan) meaning "Yahweh(God) is gracious".[4]
- LeGrand means "the tall, the large" in French.[5]
