Jenny Cameron was the sister of Hugh, chief of Clan Cameron.
Personal History[]
In her brother's absence, Jenny led three hundred Cameron troops to join Charles Stuart's forces at Glenfinnan, and continued on with them to Preston. Claire Fraser enlists her help in organizing a makeshift hospital in which to treat the wounded after the Battle of Prestonpans.

A force to be reckoned with, Jenny doesn't like to miss out on the excitement during the rebellion, and likes to be in charge.
Physical Appearance[]
Jenny has a freckly face and an undershot jaw, which Claire likens to a "good-humored bulldog".[1]
Name[]
- Jenny was originally a medieval English diminutive of Jane, a feminine form of the name John.[2][3] John was ultimately derived from the Hebrew name יוֹחָנָן (Yochanan) meaning "YAHWEH is gracious".[4]
- Cameron comes from the Gaelic cam-shron meaning "crooked nose" or "hooked nose".[5]
