George Roberts is the senior footman at Helwater. He works for the Dunsany family, including Lord and Lady Dunsany and their daughter Isobel Dunsany.

George Roberts is one of several footman at Helwater. His job likely includes errands, deliveries, and other light work.
He is in a relationship with Betty Mitchell, Isobel's ladies maid. When Betty tells him that Jamie was "interfering with her,"[1] an angry Roberts confronts Jamie, attempting to punch him.
He is shocked when Jamie denies anything to do with Betty, but Jamie convinces him that Betty was just trying to make Roberts jealous. He appears to believe Jamie, and leaves awkwardly.
Months later, Roberts is suspicious when he finds Jamie hand-in-hand with a visibly crying Betty. He is alarmed, but Jamie says that he was simply letting Betty know about the death of her brother-in-law (Tobias Quinn). Betty rushes to Roberts for comfort, and Jamie departs.
Later, Jamie gives Betty a large sum of money, telling her to marry and settle down with George Roberts. It is unknown whether the pair were married.
