TV Series[]
Scottish actress Zoe Barker portrays Brighid in the Outlander television series.
Brighid, who works in a tavern in Edinburgh, also works as a prostitute. She has caught the eye of Young Ian, who buys her whisky and invites her to leave with him to his uncle's printshop. Ian drunkenly serenades her, and she laughs at his off-key singing, though she seems charmed by him. She corrects Ian's assumption that all whores are taken from behind, and he offers to do anything she likes. Brighid straddles Ian and takes his virginity.
They are interrupted by the arrival of a one-eyed man, who begins searching the printshop. Ian urges Brighid to leave the shop, while he stays behind to deal with the intruder.
