I have Bing set as my homepage search engine, and I was wondering if this is where Joan is doing her nun learning time? To me, it would make sense for her to go, and where Jamie could visit her. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mont-Saint-Michel
I don't know if it's said in the books, because I haven't read any of them, but it would fit the time period. I know that Claire was a World War 2 English nurse, so I wonder if she spent time in this area treating wounded solders on ships or on the island. All I know is that Claire, in the show, is shown how V-E day was celebrated, but I don't know if it's really said what area of Europe she's stationed at when this starts.
I have a feeling that when Jamie goes to talk to Laoghaire when he returns to Scotland with Claire and Young Ian, he knew the whole time, even from before what he does in the second episode of season 1, that he knew she was more loose with guys than anyone knew. I think that Jamie was only trying to do the right thing, but it's been shown that Laoghaire only cared about her feelings and emotions towards others, but she couldn't let others have feelings for other people who weren't her. I think that Laoghaire proves that she really didn't want to get to know or understand Claire at all, by constantly calling her bad names. I think that Laoghaire also has a daughter, Marsali, who has given her grandkids, and I think why Joan talked to Jamie about being a nun is because she sees him more as a parent than her own mom. I think that Laoghaire somehow always knew/knows how to drive away the people she claims to care about. I will say that the main reason why Jamie takes the beating in the Castle Leoch episode is because he respects Mrs. Fitz as much as he does his uncle Colum (?), I'm not completely sure how much respect there is towards Dougal.
I will say that I haven't read any of the books that the show is based on, but I'm curious as to if Alex was suffering from Tuberculosis at the time. I have seen some episodes of "Ghost Adventures" where they describe how TB affects the human body, so I wonder if he was suffering from it in the show. I don't know if he's given the same sickness in the books, but I'm just guessing that he probably did suffer TB in the show with what I know.
I know that Claire can hear Frank when he's calling out to/for her at Craig na dun. I know that Claire can hear the buzzing sound whenever she's around the time travel areas. I'm not completely sure if Frank can hear Claire through the stones. It's never really said in the show if he hears the sounds that Claire can hear at Craig na dun. Does he hear Claire and gets some kind of comfort from possibly hearing her voice? This one thing bugs me, because if Frank does hear Claire, then why won't he travel to where she is?
